As you may have already noticed Monochrome is back for spring 2015! This classic black and white trend comes around every year and this time it’s with a twist of red. It’s one of the easiest trends to follow as you probably already have items in your wardrobe that you can mix and match to get the look; everyone should have a staple pair of black skinny jeans or a plain white tee!
The clean palette also means that anything goes with this trend, try mixing styles and prints for an edgier look – as I write this blog I am actually wearing a mash-up of black and white spots and stripes with red nail polish and a red lip for my splash of colour! As I am currently having a monochrome moment, I thought I would share my top picks from the Yours collection.
First up are these £18.00 tops which are a perfect way to take on the mono trend; two completely different looks that can be worn to suit your own personal style. The casual varsity top looks great with jeans or jeggings and I have styled them with a grey acid wash pair and a slouchy beanie hat for a cool street-style look. The Aztec print top is a comfortable fashion piece that can be dressed up with skinny jeans and some killer heels for an evening out.
Next up are these two swing dresses which are both super comfortable and super cute! They can easily be dressed up or down, and I would recommend a colourful pair of heels or a bright statement bag to add a splash of colour!
